Ontario County Sheriff's Office Swears in Corrections Team
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office held a swearing-in ceremony today. At the event, three Corrections Bureau employees received promotions and four new team members were welcomed.
Correction Lieutenant Aaron Morrell was sworn in as Chief Correction Officer. Morrell joined the department as a Correction Officer in 2003, was promoted to Sergeant in 2013, and advanced to Lieutenant in 2019. Correction Sergeant Daniel Walton was sworn in as Correction Lieutenant. Walton started his career as a Correction Officer in 2006 and was promoted to Correction Sergeant in 2014. Correction Officer Thomas Blair, who has been with the office since 2010, was officially sworn in as Correction Sergeant.
Additionally, the announcement included the return of Correction Officer Michael Wheeler and the appointment of Correction Officer Joseph Yancey, Communication Officer Alexandria Moody, and Community Relations Coordinator Emily Davoli.
